NOTES:

  • While some Ember offerings prior to EmberZNet version 3.0 provided compliance with earlier ZigBee networking standards, this table focuses primarily on compliance with the current ZigBee PRO feature set (circa Q4 2007).
  • The EM250, EM260, and EM35x platforms have also completed IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and 2.4GHz DSSS PHY compliance testing by a registered test house, ensuring compliant operation at lower levels of the protocol stack.
  • EM250 and EM260 platform certification also covers the use of EZSP (via SPI or UART) when running these platforms in a network coprocessor [NCP] design.
  • EZSP NCP firmware with ECC delivered from Certicom is also covered under the terms of this platform compliance.
  • Ember does not submit the EM2420 platform for certification, so EM2420 releases of EmberZNet PRO software are not considered to be ZigBee Certified Platforms upon which to build ZigBee-certified Products. While it is not illegal to release EM2420-based products for commercial use, the ZigBee Alliance terms of use do not allow these products to bear ZigBee logos or be advertised as compliant products.
  • For ZigBee’s own list of official ZigBee Certified Platforms (ZCPs), see ZigBee document number 064018 (http://www.zigbee.org/imwp/download.asp?ContentID=7692). (Note: Not all EmberZNet patch releases are listed in that table. This FAQ [via the table above] should be regarded as a more current and more complete reference on which specific EmberZNet software/hardware combinations have achieved ZCP status.)
