Which Mug 3 size should I choose?
Choose 10oz Mug 3 for smaller pours, 14oz Mug 3 for everyday coffee, or 16oz Mug 3 for a larger serving. All three offer on-mug temperature control, an optional app, top-rack dishwasher-safe cleaning, and an included sliding lid.
Should I choose Mug 3 or Tumbler 2?
Choose Mug 3 for coffee or tea at home or at your desk, with a traditional side handle and a choice of three sizes. Choose Tumbler 2 for commutes, walks, and days on the go: its slim 16oz design fits car cupholders and includes a handle lid and sipping lid. Both maintain your chosen temperature and offer controls directly on the drinkware.
How long does the battery actually last?
Mug 3 keeps your drink warm for over 3 hours with the included sliding lid, or 80 minutes without the lid in this size. Use the included charging coaster for all-day warmth while you drink. Battery life varies with your temperature setting and ambient conditions.
Do I need the app?
No. With Mug 3, you can set your temperature directly on the mug. The optional Ember app for iPhone and Android lets you fine-tune your preferred temperature.
What is your return policy?
Unused mugs can be returned within 30 days of delivery. A $10 restocking fee applies; exclusions and instructions are in our Return Policy.
Is there a warranty?
The charging coaster included with Ember Mug 3 has a lifetime warranty. The mug has a 1-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects. Contact Ember support for warranty service.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
Yes. Place Mug 3 on the top rack of your dishwasher, then let it dry fully before charging. Keep the charging coaster and cable out of the dishwasher.
How does Ember hold my temperature?
A heater and sensors built into the mug work together to maintain your preferred drinking temperature.
Will it keep cold drinks cold?
Mug 3 is designed to maintain hot drinks. The Ember Cold Tumbler uses insulation for cold drinks; it does not electronically cool them.
How long does shipping take?
Mug 3 includes free shipping. Orders generally leave our warehouse within 2 business days; delivery timing depends on your address and shipping method. See the Shipping Policy for details.

"If you tend to nurse a single cup of coffee over an hour while working or getting through a morning routine, this mug is an absolute game-changer. The 14 oz size hits the sweet spot for regular mugs without requiring constant refills, and the Salt Blue matte finish looks fantastic in person - clean, modern, and understated on a desk."

The dishwasher ability is nice

"The dishwasher ability is nice to have, but the battery still is not sufficient. It is a quality mug, built well and keeps the liquid warm longer. However, the battery really drains quickly and not at a top heat level. The lid is a good mitigation to that, but if you're expecting long battery, it likely won't meet that."

My ember 1 mug finally

"My ember 1 mug finally gave out after several years of good use. Just wouldn’t charge anymore. Had already replaced the charger. So I purchased a new ember mug 3. I love it! Charger with unlimited warranty, Improved app. Dishwasher safe. Although I have been hand washing, so far. Glad to have a warm cup of coffee all morning!"

I love my Ember mug

"I love my Ember mug and would repurchase. I do wish they would make a better charging coaster, though. I think it makes an otherwise great product a bit frustrating. It’s very rare I can place my mug on the charger without needing to fiddle with it to get it to connect. Also, I really wish the charging coaster had a little more weight to it. It’s so lightweight that the charging cable can pull it off the table if the mug isn’t sitting on it."

I’m 83y/o and have lost

"I’m 83y/o and have lost a lot of my hand strength. I tried to push that little button on the bottom of my Ember mug 3 for over a week. No luck. I asked my care giver to help me, showed her the start guide and she pushed the button and I heard it click for the first time. She then paired it and gave it back to me. Total time was less than 2 minutes. Set up both mug 3’s in five. Five stars because I am drinking delicious coffee from my beautiful mugs and washing them in the dishwasher. Try it, you’ll like it."

Great mug to keep coffee warm

"I have been very happy so far with my mug. The slightly larger size is nice and looks great. I loved my older mug, but the coaster goes bad so fast I had given up on the product. NOW they offer lifetime replacement. I hope that is true. I also wonder why they have not developed a wireless charge system, that would seem to solve the dreaded coaster issue. I mean, a coaster is as designed, is meant to hold drips and spills, but the Ember one cannot take spills. The product is almost the best thing ever...so close. That being said, I do love my mug."

I like some of the

"I like some of the changes in the model 3. Not having to look at the app to see the state of charge is nice, although during setup I still use the app to set the temp to 143 which it remembers. What I don’t like is the new base is smaller in diameter and not as stable as the old one. The included lid is unusable, almost couldn’t get it off, much to tight for daily use, old one fit perfectly. I also wouldn’t use it in the dishwasher as the high heat will cause the batteries to not last as long."

Best Gift Ever!

"This mug has seriously saved my mornings! I used to catch myself having to reheat my coffee in the microwave or start up a new batch of coffee in order to get HOT coffee again. That is until I was gifted the Ember Mug! Now I can calmly sip my coffee without trying to 'rush drink' to avoid that warm "almost" cold grossness! The best part about this mug is that the app is a cool feature, but not required. You can adjust the temperature once and that is it."
