October 24, 2024

Prepare to stir up some spine-tingling fun with our BOO-zy Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate! Rich, velvety chocolate blends with creamy peanut butter and the boldness of whiskey, creating a potion that’s equal parts cozy and wickedly delicious. This tasty hot tail will be a major hit at your Halloween gathering or keep you warm on your jaunt through the neighborhood with your very own little goblins and ghouls.

Drinking Temperature

Served at 138°F (58°C)

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1½ tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1¼ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 shot of whiskey

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the heavy whipping cream, peanut butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until fully combined.
  2. Slowly incorporate the milk into the pot, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and continue whisking on medium heat, making sure not to let the mixture boil. Whisk until the hot chocolate is light and frothy.
  4. Remove the mixture from heat. Mix in the salt and whiskey. For this recipe, we used Shanky’s Whip Irish Whiskey because of its smooth taste, which touts flavors of vanilla and caramel. This boozy hot tail will taste like a liquid candy bar!
No alcohol? No problem!

Skip the whiskey and make this a delicious treat the whole family can enjoy! We recommend replacing the whiskey with a ¼ tsp of J.T. Copper’s Amber Caramel syrup for added warmth and depth.

    Make it deluxe!

    • Add some whipped cream to make this hot chocolate extra decadent!
    • Make it extra chocolatey with a drizzle of some chocolate sauce!

We hope this BOO-zy Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate satisfies your sweet tooth this Halloween! Before you take the kids trick-or-treating or hand out candy on the front porch, consider enjoying this tasty hot-tail in an Ember Mug 2 and covering it with a Sliding Lid to keep it at the perfect temperature for longer on a chilly Halloween night!
