How to Make Matcha Hot Chocolate
There are a lot of amazing hot chocolate concoctions for making the winter season all the sweeter, such as a Chai spiced white hot chocolate recipe or even a Cadbury crème hot chocolate. But if you want to get a healthy and delicious dose of a superfood with your hot chocolate, then nothing beats matcha hot chocolate.
Perfectly balanced between bitter and sweet, slightly caffeinated, and wonderfully refreshing, this matcha hot chocolate recipe is a cold-weather favorite and perfect for any time of the day.
- 2 cups milk (whichever milk or non-dairy milk alternative you prefer)
- ½ cup white chocolate chopped
- 1 tablespoon matcha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Toasted marshmallows (Optional)
- Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
- Remove the milk from the heat and whisk in the chopped white chocolate until melted.
- Sift in the matcha.
- Add the honey and salt to the matcha hot chocolate, stirring until well combined.
