Salted Maple & Brown Sugar Latte

Fall is a season of quiet comforts. Cooler mornings. Slower starts. A return to small rituals that make the day feel grounded. The Salted Maple Brown Sugar Latte captures that feeling in a cup. It blends the boldness of espresso with the cozy sweetness of brown sugar and maple, finished with a salted maple cold foam that feels like a little luxury. It’s rich but balanced, sweet without being heavy, and made to be lingered over.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • ¼ cup milk (whole or 2% work best)
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • A small pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. Brew espresso in your moka pot. While it’s still hot, stir in the brown sugar until it dissolves. We recommend Brandywine Coffee Roasters’ Orbital Motion Espresso Blend for its complementing flavors including notes of brown sugar and Nutmeg.
  2. In a frother or small jar, combine milk, maple syrup, and salt. Froth until soft and airy.
  3. Pour the espresso mixture into your Ember Mug, add milk, and spoon the salted maple foam on top.
  4.  Optional: drizzle a touch of maple syrup or dust with cinnamon.
No espresso machine?

No problem! Aeropress or Moka pot coffee make great, concentrated alternatives to espresso. You can also use your usual brewing method and just make an extra-strong batch.

Make it deluxe!
Add a cinnamon stick for an added layer of spice or a teaspoon of cocoa powder with the espresso for a chocolatey twist.

Make it iced!
For an iced version, fill your Ember Cold Tumbler two-thirds full with ice, pour in the espresso and milk, then top with the foam.
